Apply a little pressure to renew your skin.

New research has found that applying pressure to your skin can activate the stem cells that are stored in reservoirs in your skin and this can improve its appearance measurably. In a collaborative 2018 study, Shiseido found that stem cells gather around the skin's oil glands. These stem cells are the origin of dermal fibroblasts which are responsible for skin elasticity. The research team investigated what the effect of putting pressure on the skin, tapping and stretching of the skin would be on these stem cell reservoirs.
